A Flake's Take

A shining crystal of light and joy
Graceful in my fall from the sky
Mesmerizing to your eye
The original catcher in the rye

Oh dear, admire my beauty
Learn a lesson, while I do my duty
I am fragile yet stable
I am sublime yet able

I can touch your heart
You can touch my soul
But the moment you hold me
I will be no more

Your dream is like me
Your guiding light
The moment you force it
It will disappear into the night

An interesting, yet so simple an observation...

loved the lines...
"I can touch your heart
You can touch my soul
But the moment you hold me
I will be no more"
sort of like love, innit?

(btw, I've always been envious of those who can write poems with words that rhyme, I can't :()

I do not quite know if the Love Analogy holds. You can never hold love, only the lover ;) And there is a difference between holding and suffocating in that case. But then yeah, its all a matter of perspective.

BTW, There was no real rhyme scheme there. Just random rhyming words.

Well, I took the holding bit more figuratively :-P
More in the love being in a 'just as soon as I belong, then it's time I disappear' kind of place..

ah.. tough to explain... let's leave it at perspective ;)

Metallica - I disappear
(That song was playing while I was commenting, and it seemed to convey what I wanted to say better than what I was typing... that's why I love music, saves me words...

and yet, I talk too much *hangs head in shame*)
