Random groups we join on Facebook

My friend joined nearly 50 groups in a span of one day. I have been joining random groups on Facebook too but 50 in a day seemed to be like a landmark figure. Some of the names of the group are interesting, amusing and have an instant connection with what's on my mind, which seems to be the sole reason of joining the groups. Here's a list of some of those which my close friends and/or I have joined (keeping the names as they originally are, so please excuse the language, grammar, et al) in no specific order: 1)I Can Type On My Mobile Without Looking At The Keypad. 2)Sometimes ALL you need is your best friend. 3)Drawing with your finger on fogged glass. 4)FLINCHING IN BED COZ YOU HAD A DREAM YOU WERE FALLING... 5)'I don't bloody care how old the song is! I like it. So shut up!' 6)I'm double majoring in Napping and Facebook with a minor in Procrastination. 7)No I'm not lying, but when you look at me like that, how can I not smile? 8)I Have Died Over 147 Times ...

Net-a-holicism

I am a self-confessed net-a-holic now but I wasn’t so once upon a time. So much so that I would only have a very selective list of individuals on my list, the ones I interacted with personally everyday. There would be the plain ‘wassup’ messages and the same old ‘nm’ replies. If you meet someone everyday and talk to them at least thrice over the phone when you are not with them, there’s barely stuff left to discuss online. I moved to India . I was all alone at least during the first few months. Having nothing better to do, I started experimenting by talking to people who I didn’t know personally. Not the ones you meet in chat rooms but friends of friends of friends or some long lost person whose name I heard in school. We started of as strangers but soon, I would know them so well that they would get a new status in my social hierarchy - that of net pals. It was not that the bond lasted forever, but yes there were a few precious ones who I held on to and am still friends with even ...

Steely Resolve

Promises are meant to be broken and resolutions even more so. I barely know of a few people who genuinely stick to them. For most others, it is fashionable to make resolutions and then claim "I am going to try to stick to it, thought I don't think I will be able to do so beyond a month." I was partly successful in some of them. ‘Them’ included resolutions like not having tea for a year! With the slightly more difficult ones, failure was inevitable. However, I soon stopped committing myself to them at the start of the year and have now completely moved towards a goal-oriented approach. But if I were ever to make a resolution again, these are the ones which will test my patience and determination to the limit(listed in random order). I Net - Centric I will stay online for a maximum of one hour in a day. I will orkut only once in a week. I will not torture readers with highly opinionated political blogs. I will not rush into writing testimonials. II Behavioural I will not ...
